Ozone being 3157 times stronger than Chlorine, the BOD, COD of the treated wastewater is reduced down way below the standardized levels - at the highest efficacy, reduced time and reduced cost - when dosed at the right concentration, that too, leaving no toxic by-products. In the process, the client saves a huge amount of operating expenses, by reducing recurring chemical dosage or even capacity of the wastewater treatment plant.
When the sewage water / effluent water is discharged into the environment, the amount of infections has to be negligible. For disinfection purposes in wastewater, there is obviously no better alternative than Ozone - since its a few hundred times stronger than any other reagent, and is the greenest technology in Nature.
